Most businesses don't have an AI problem. They have a flow problem.
Automating a broken process just breaks it faster. So we fix the flow first.
- Calls and emails nobody owns, so customers wait.
- The same data typed into three systems.
- Every decision waiting on the owner.
How we work
Five steps, the same way every time. AI only enters once the process makes sense — and it never acts without a person's sign-off.
- 1
Discover
A short call to find the one workflow that costs you the most time each week.
- 2
Map & measure
Walk the process with your team. Set a baseline: response time, rework, hours.
- 3
Pilot the harness
Fix the flow, then add AI to prepare the work — drafts, sorting, checklists.
- 4
Run, with a person in the loop
Nothing goes out until a named person approves it. Every step is logged.
- 5
Measure & prove
Same numbers, before and after. If it didn't move, we say so.
Inside step 4 — the gate
- AI preparesdraft, summary or checklist
- Person approvesedit, approve or reject
- Work goes outonly after sign-off
- Logged & cappedaudit trail and cost limits
The gate
People approve
Anything that leaves your business is approved by a person first.
No money moves
AI never initiates a payment or changes one.
You own it
Your accounts, your data, your keys.
Logged and capped
Every step is logged, and every workflow has cost limits.
About us
Tally & Gate is an independent practice led by founder Brian Roseland — a veteran, an OPEX Six Sigma Black Belt, and a data and analytics leader based in St. Charles County, Missouri.
You work directly with Brian, from the first call to the final before-and-after report. No hand-off to a junior team, no tools sold for their own sake.
The name is the method: Tally is the measuring — know what "better" means before changing anything. Gate is the approval — a person signs off before work leaves the building.
